Training Grants Available

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) provides grants for both worker skills development and training for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) individuals. In the past TMAC has participated in both sources of funding for our customers. The Skills Development Fund (SDF) is targeted at the continual skills development of incumbent workers. The Self Sufficiency Fund (SSF) is targeted at individuals who are currently unemployed and are on public assistance or individuals who might applied for TANF in the future. Local workforce development funds have also been accessed in partnership with local businesses through Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande, El Paso's local workforce development board.
