Future Students

Interested in attending the College of Engineering? Here are recommended steps to guide you towards becoming an engineering major.

Step 1:
The first step is to get admitted into the University. This begins with you completing an application, which can be done on-line at Apply Texas. After filling out the application, make sure to send your high school transcripts and SAT or ACT scores to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Once the process is complete, a letter of decision will be sent to you via e-mail. If you are an international student, it is recommended to visit the Office of International Programs regarding any additional steps you might have to take.

Step 2:
Now its time to think on how to pay for college. Conveniently, all scholarships are processed through the Office of Scholarships. This one-time application keeps students connected, as you will be matched to scholarships you might be eligible for up until the time you graduate. As a student you should try to get all the help you can so apply for financial aid by completing a FAFSA application.

Step 3:
Your almost finished! Now it is time to sign up for and attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session. As a student entering the College of Engineering, you will be directed through the CircLES program, which is part of the larger NSO, but will connect you to the College's facilities, resources and expectations. We also hope that you have a new circle of peers before classes begin.

Step 4:
The final and most important step to becoming a student in the College of Engineering is to register for classes via Goldmine that will be covered during orientation.
