Civil engineering students at The University of Texas at El Paso have the opportunity to receive additional money to pay for college thanks to a new scholarship funded by Jordan Construction.

“The Jordan Construction Scholarship Program was established to give students at the UTEP College of Engineering access to excellence in education through a scholarship and internship program that will help them prepare to join the construction industry,” said Paco Jordan, chairman of Jordan Construction. “We are excited about the great work the University is doing to help civil engineering students reach their education and professional goals and are proud to be part of that effort.”

The scholarship will be awarded to civil engineering students interested in careers in Construction Management. The $6,000 scholarship is renewable if scholarship guidelines are met. The scholarship recipient will also be eligible for an internship with Jordan Construction.

“Scholarship and internship opportunities like the Jordan Construction Scholarship Program are essential to the success of our students,” said Dr. Richard Schoephoerster, Dean of UTEP’s College of Engineering. “We are looking forward to partnering with Jordan Construction to provide our students with the greatest educational opportunities.”
