Pat Teller Joins TACC Advisory Board

Dr. Patricia Teller, Professor of Computer Science at The University of Texas at El Paso has been named a member of the Texas Advanced Computing Center’s (TACC) Advisory Board.

Selected for her expertise in computer science research related to high-end computational science, Dr. Teller will serve with Dan Reed of Microsoft, Mark Seager of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Pete Taylor of University of Warwick, Pike Powers and others.

Dr. Teller has been at UTEP since 1997. She currently leads the HiPerSys research team and heads UTEP’s involvement in a multi-university consortium that manages the U.S. Army’s High Performance Computing (HPC) Research Center, which is funded by a $215 million U.S. Army Research Laboratory award. Her research interests include dynamic adaptation of applications, operating systems and computer architectures; performance evaluation, modeling and enhancements; workload characterization; parallel and distributed computing; computer architecture and operating systems.
