The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) has established a multi-level System Engineering Professional (SEP) Certification Program to provide a formal method for recognizing the knowledge and experience of systems engineers, regardless of where they may be in their career.
Individuals can become certified as SEP by passing the INCOSE knowledge exam and then submitting the application paperwork with fees. INCOSE is sponsoring a paper SEP exam free of cost, (note that computer base exam has an $80 USD fee). The Enchantment and the North Texas INCOSE local chapters are also sponsoring the event. The SEP exam is open to all professionals or students in the region, especially Ciudad Juarez, El Paso and New Mexico. This paper based SEP exam has no cost and there is no INCOSE membership requirement. The exam is based on the INCOSE SE Handbook V4 and includes 120 multiple-answer questions in 120 minutes. If your mother language is not English, you may have an extra 30 minutes to take the exam, and may bring in a translation dictionary.
The Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering (IMSE) department at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is hosting the INCOSE paper based SEP exam free of cost and inviting individuals to take the exam and get one-step closer to INCOSE Certification at the Associate (ASEP) or Certified (CSEP) level. The SEP exam is scheduled for January 16, 2019 at 6:00 pm in CRBL (Classroom Building) room 205 at UTEP. You must pre-register to take the exam.
Please note that if you are UTEP student, staff or faculty, you can get a free INCOSE CAB account and download the INCOSE System Engineering Handbook V4. You must use your UTEP email account. There is also a INCOSE SEP preparation course in Spring 2019, the Master of Science in Systems Engineering program.
