is a simple term to describe sustainability; environmentally friendly

Sustainable city

is a city designed with consideration given to (1) the impact on the environment, (2) the effort to minimize the required inputs of energy, water and food, and (3) the elimination of waste output of heat, air pollution (i.e., carbon dioxide), methane and water pollution. A sustainable city is a city with a livable environment, a strong economy, and a social and cultural sense of community.  

Carbon Footprint

Carbon footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment and particularly on climate change. Carbon footprint is measured by the total amount of greenhouse gases produced to directly and indirectly support human activities.
