We are a business and engineering student organization
We develop, create, promote, and manage cutting edge engineering projects with one goal.
To bring a unique experience to the members in the form of an engineering company.
We are a group of students from the colleges of Engineering and Business Administration; we aim
to prepare our members for the 21st century world, by giving them the ideal of the love of learning and the choosing of concentration rather than conformity, and having the passionate pursuit of skill and imagination.
With a cutting-edge project the organization gets a lot of attention from the community. This is exactly what we strive for at GPO, Big impact in the El Paso community, to bring a spirit of innovation and entrepeneurship to this increasingly large city of El Paso. It is our main priority to promote the student body from the University of Texas at El Paso, by taking the innitiative on development, and join many other big universities in their journey for domination. We help get UTEP to the Tier-1 status it deserves.
The Process
It all starts with a great idea. The General Propulsion Organization promotes the development of new technology through the aid of the open source model. The fact of having a community supported and contributed project brings a unique advantage over others. Because of the nature of contribution, the project itself advances and the usage and rules of new technologies is developed.
A general meeting is called for and the project is presented, difficuty is assesed and members start devising ideas pushing for the creation and realisation of the project.
A budget request is proposed to the Financial Division, which starts the process of developing a lobbying and marketing campaing in the University; this is all for the deed of obtaining funds for the specified request.
