As a UTEP Civil Engineering student, you not only have the ability to advance in your scholarly career but also have an opportunity to be a part of a dynamic organization. ASCE at UTEP holds monthly meetings where students of any classification, and engineering major, can gather for informative meetings that include presentations from local professional engineers and professors, and updates for upcoming events around the city, and on campus. Being a part of ASCE gives you an opportunity to develop technical skills and hands-on learning through participating in Concrete Canoe or Steel Bridge. Being a member also means that you are given an opportunity to help the El Paso Community, and though that, enjoy your scholarly development amongst students having the same goal; "Advance civil engineering, and serve the public good." – ASCE
