"We are excited to be part of Manufacturing Day and feel proud that our College of Engineering students and staff at UTEP are participating," said Bill Tseng, Ph.D., department chair and associate professor of industrial, manufacturing and systems engineering. "This event will help promote the essentiality of the manufacturing program on campus."
National Manufacturing Day takes place Sept. 29 through Oct. 3. The event provides an opportunity for manufacturers and schools with manufacturing programs to open their doors to the public. The event also highlights the rewarding jobs in the field and showcases manufacturing's importance to the economy.
