Halliburton CEO to Address UTEP Audience

The University of Texas at El Paso's College of Engineering welcomes David Lesar, chairman, president and CEO of Halliburton Energy Services, to speak at noon Friday, April 20 as part of the Engineering Lecture Series.
Lesar's lecture will take place at the El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center on the UTEP campus and is free and open to the public.
Lesar joined Halliburton in 1993 and has served as chairman of the board, president and CEO since 2000. Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. It operates in approximately 80 countries with nearly 70,000 employees around the world.
Lesar is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees. He serves on the board of directors of the American Petroleum Institute and is a member of the board of directors of Agrium Inc.
The Engineering Lecture Series brings speakers to campus to address topics at the intersection of society and technology. The lectures are intended to provoke thinking and stimulate discussions about creating a sustainable future and the socio-technical leadership required to achieve sustainability. This year's theme is "Engineering: Leadership for the Conceptual Age."
