Women Engineers will participate in Regional Conference

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at the University of Texas at El Paso have been invited to attend the SWE's Region C Conference in Lubbock, TX on January 27-29 to present their Bid to host the Regional Conference in 2013.
SWE Region C Conference provides a venue for professional and student members to gather and take part in workshops, networking, career fairs and technical tours. Region C consists of 35 universities and 10 professional sections across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
"We are looking forward to a good response in Lubbock so that we can showcase what UTEP and the City of El Paso are doing for our female engineers (both students and professionals)," said Blanca Carrasco, College of Engineering Assistant Director for Undergraduate Affairs and SWE Staff Counselor.
